Monochrome Research - Vogue VS ASOS

 

Monochrome is on trend this year, the mix of both black and white on a garment. With both vogue and ASOS on trend, it is a battle between hot of the cat walk and what's hot on the high street! Both magazines have designers with very similar taste in style creating clothing such as Mac Coats, Over sized t-shirts, Dresses, Skirts, Trousers and Crop tops. The monochrome design has been created using materials such as cotton, wool, leather,PVC and other materials.
This style of trend can be put together as a very dressy cat walk look or a dressed down high street, casual look. Either way both companies are winning with this trend, it is very popular with customers and big at the moment.

I scanned in the fab monochrome look from ASOS magazine. It could be a beautiful summery all white outfit, but it has a hint of mono with the bold Nike jumper making a statement of mono cool. I really like this look I think it's not too casual or too dressy and can be worn any where.

 

 

 

Here is another part of the mono cool look from ASOS. As I was saying both ASOS and Vogue's chosen designers have very similar taste in style as you can see in the product layout. There is a mix from leather look cropped shorts, crop tops, Oversized T-shirts, Trousers and Mac Coats. Very similar style to the designers that have come straight off the cat walk from Vogue. All on trend!
