I have present my initial ideas in a PowerPoint presentation, I am going to present to my fellow peers.
On my PowerPoint I have what my first initial idea was: what I was doing to do for my mapping a journey, which was to photograph the development stage of a model being beautified. Starting with photographing the model with a naked face and then photographing the model with more and more makeup applied until the model was someone completely unrecognisable. I had created a mood board of images that had inspired my idea and research by Amberly valentine, video and photography and Rosie hardy. I then moved on to telling everyone that I had changed my mind and created a new concept of idea for my journey which is to look at creating my own business: a clothing line and the way product are promoted in the industry. I wanted to do this as I will be studying international fashion promotion at University in September.
I then went on to my research again looking at designer in vogue magazine (online) looking at looks such as Monochrome, Metallic and word prined clothing. I then went on to looking at some primary research creating a online and printed questionnaire on how customers buy products. I got a good response back from my question and created pie charts of my answers to show the responses. After doing this I used some photographs I had taken from the London Tate Gallery, I had visited artistes that have inspired me to create in a similar format and style.
I then narrowed down my research looking at just monochrome and metallic look by vogue - I'm also going to look at other brands that specialise in these trends so I can compare the two. I have looked at business such as boutiques and unique brands that only sell one of pieces of clothing such as brands on ASOS market place and Hot mess clothing. I then went on to draw up some designs and create digital images by scanning my drawings in and using the software Photoshop.
I presented this presentation to my peers and was given some feed back to help me look at different options and ways to help me through my final project.
